Founded in January 2018, Wonder Pies is the brainchild of renowned Melbourne Chef, Raymond Capaldi, and was established as a wholesale bakehouse that specialises in a range of savoury and sweet bakery products. At its core, the Wonder Pies vision looks toward a future where food is accessible as a casual dining experience with convenient and premium quality food.
The initial concept was simple; to produce the best pies and pastries from the best locally sourced ingredients, and we continue to be committed to this and pride ourselves on the quality of our handcrafted deep pan pies with a short crust, topped with puff pastry then finished with a French glaze. Only a few short years on, our product range has grown under the leadership of Head Baker, George Callus, and we are exceptionally proud to now offer a selection of pies, rolls, quiches and pasties for events, functions, individuals, families, and restaurants. As well as providing food service options across our collection of products, we are excited to offer Nana Fraser’s sweets, Plantico’s vegan selection, filos, croquettes, chiko rolls, pate, terrines, and our mac ‘n cheese signature range.
We supply our products to a vast range of high-quality restaurants and retailers throughout Australia, as well as our own Baketico bakeri and larder stores around Melbourne. Wonder Pies can now be found across Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and soon in Sydney.
